Carolina Panthers will take BPA at No. 6 overall

There is plenty of speculation already transpiring about just what the Carolina Panthers are going to do from No. 6 overall in the 2022 NFL Draft.

Considering they have no Day 2 pick currently after trades for Sam Darnold and C.J. Henderson, it might be worth them dropping down the pecking order to accumulate more in the way of selections. This is something general manager Scott Fitterer will no doubt explore right until the last minute.

However, there is also the prospect of Carolina standing pat and using their only pick in the top-100 on an elite player from the college ranks that could provide real assistance in a position of need.

Bolstering the offensive line is a major objective, obviously. The Panthers might also decide to select their quarterback of the future if someone like Kenny Pickett is still on the board.

However, general manager Scott Fitterer went through with his promise of taking the best player they thought was available last time around and it’s something he’ll aspire to do once again this spring.

This would put someone like Notre Dame‘s stud safety, Kyle Hamilton, in play. Not focusing on the protection would be a significant gamble, but much will also depend on what sort of veteran pieces Carolina can acquire in free agency.
