4 Panthers players who’ll benefit most from Ben McAdoo’s arrival

Terrace Marshall Jr. – Carolina Panthers WR
Considering the level of expectation surrounding Terrace Marshall Jr. before his rookie campaign, it’s was extremely disappointing to see the wide receiver become virtually anonymous. The former LSU stud has all the physical attributes to be a star at the next level, but the Carolina Panthers made him something of a passenger with little involvement in the passing game.
Marshall was even a healthy scratch at the Miami Dolphins in Week 12. So it’s hard to deny this isn’t an immensely important offseason period for the wideout.
There is little doubt Joe Brady – who worked with Marshall on the Tigers – had some input in bringing the player to Carolina. He’s no longer part of the equation, so it’s up to the second-round pick to prove himself within Ben McAdoo’s new scheme, however that may look.
For all McAdoo’s faults as a head coach, his production as a coordinator leaves many reasons to be encouraged. Providing the offensive line improves and Marshall imposes himself a little more, then there could be far more targets coming his way next time around.
Making a strong impression on McAdoo right out of the gate is crucial for Marshall. If he can do this and take full advantage of opportunities when they arise, then a big Year 2 might be in the offing.
