4 Panthers players who’ll benefit most from Ben McAdoo’s arrival

Tommy Tremble – Carolina Panthers TE
There is a tremendous opportunity awaiting Tommy Tremble in 2022. After a promising first year with the Carolina Panthers overall, the Notre Dame product should get the chance to become the team’s No. 1 tight end option with Ian Thomas out of contract and unlikely to come back in free agency.
Tremble does need some refinement regarding ball skills and collecting the football under pressure. So it might be worth the Panthers bringing in additional help via a veteran free agent or an exciting recruit from the college ranks to assist the former third-round pick.
Ben McAdoo could be a major asset to Tremble. The offensive coordinator has experience working with tight ends specifically during his time with the Green Bay Packers, which could be invaluable to the second-year-pro in training camp and throughout the campaign.
Tremble’s athletic attributes could make him a dangerous weapon if used correctly. But much like the situation regarding Terrace Marshall Jr., he wasn’t perhaps utilized in the right way despite gaining two touchdowns as a rookie.
Providing McAdoo sees enough in Tremble to suggest he’d cope well with extra responsibility on his shoulders, then it should be a mutually beneficial arrangement. One that would add something to Carolina’s offense that’s been sorely lacking since Greg Olsen left for the Seattle Seahawks in free agency.
