D.J. Moore – Carolina Panthers WR

It’s hard to fathom just how D.J. Moore has managed three-straight 1,000-yard receiving seasons given the lack of stability at the quarterback position. The former first-round pick has made the best out of a bad situation to become one of the league’s most underrated wide receivers – something that could see the Carolina Panthers shell out big bucks to keep him around in the not-too-distant future.

Just what Moore could accomplish with some consistency and a play-caller that utilizes his talents fully is a mouth-watering prospect. And if he doesn’t already, it won’t take long for Ben McAdoo to figure out what a special talent the Maryland product is when they begin working together.

What’s important for McAdoo is not overcomplicating things where Moore is concerned. Getting the football in his hands early and often is the best possible route to success in his new role – both pass-catching, from the slot, and even on trick plays when the opportunity arises.

There’s nothing to suggest Moore cannot have a similar impact to what we’ve seen Deebo Samuel contribute to the San Francisco 49ers this season. Some conservative play-calling throughout his career has prevented him from making this sort of impression, but that could be about to change with McAdoo at the helm.

Moore is Carolina’s most reliable offensive weapon. Now is the time for McAdoo and the Panthers to unleash his true potential.
