4 easy decisions the Carolina Panthers must make this offseason

Carolina Panthers must extend Frankie Luvu
Although there is plenty of hype surrounding upcoming free agents such as Stephon Gilmore, Haason Reddick, and Donte Jackson, there is one individual also looking for a new deal that has to be extended.
Frankie Luvu made the biggest impression imaginable following his switch from the New York Jets, coming up with big plays aplenty on the defensive rotation as well as making a substantial impact on special teams for good measure.
The Carolina Panthers got far more than they bargained for in Luvu, who was no lock to make the roster before training camp. Players that can step in at a moment’s notice and produce are always highly sought-after in the NFL and the Washington State product’s importance cannot be understated considering the lack of quality within the linebacker room.
Luvu was the only Panthers player to receive an All-Pro vote for his work on special teams, so his production isn’t going unnoticed by those around the league. He would not be out of work long on the free-agent market, so it’s absolutely essential Carolina ties down somebody that could end up being a key cog depending on what happens with other roster members.
There isn’t a lot of money to go around in Carolina. But compared to others, it could be relatively cheap to keep Luvu on the books in 2022 and beyond.
Couple this with his level of performance on the field and extending Luvu is a simple decision.
