4 potential landing spots for former Panthers OC Joe Brady in 2022

With a new general manager in place, it won’t be much longer before the Minnesota Vikings appoint a head coach after deciding to fire Mike Zimmer following a second-straight season without playoff football. An interview request has reportedly gone in for Michigan‘s Jim Harbaugh, which would be a significant statement of intent as the NFC North team looks to get themselves back on track with some incredible talent at their disposal.
Much will obviously depend on how Harbaugh or someone else sees things. But this might be an under-the-radar landing spot for Joe Brady despite things ending disappointingly with the Carolina Panthers.
One player who might be banging the drum for this move is Justin Jefferson. The wide receiver worked closely with Brady during his time as LSU‘s passing game coordinator in 2019 as the Tigers secured the coveted national championship in convincing fashion.
Jefferson is an influential figure in Minnesota, but his opinion alone wouldn’t be enough for Brady to get their offensive coordinator gig. And at the present moment, the job is still Klint Kubiak’s until told otherwise.
Minnesota is still an enticing option for any head coach or new coordinator. Quarterback Kirk Cousins provides stability, Dalvin Cook remains one of the league’s top running backs, Jefferson is at the top of his game, and the defense still has some exceptional pieces to build around.
