3 hypothetical trade offers for the Panthers to land Russell Wilson

Carolina Panthers trade offer No. 1
This would be an extremely tough sell considering how much Sam Darnold struggled and the fact he’s getting paid $18.85 million guaranteed in 2021. But adding two valuable first-round picks – one being the No. 6 overall selection – could be a tempting offer for the Seattle Seahawks.
Seattle doesn’t possess a first-rounder this year after sacrificing it to the New York Jets as part of the Jamal Adams trade. Perhaps the Seahawks didn’t think it would be a selection as high as it ended up, making the deal one that didn’t quite go according to plan.
The Carolina Panthers know all about that, too. They are a team in flux and even if a trade offer was accepted, Wilson would need some serious convincing to waive his clause and link up once again with Scott Fitterer.
Giving up two first-rounders is something the Panthers were more than willing to do last spring regarding Matthew Stafford and Deshaun Watson. They even had a preliminary agreement in place with the Georgia product before he turned down the chance, which was a shrewd move considering he’s about to play in his first Super Bowl with the Los Angeles Rams.
Whether Wilson would do the same remains to be seen. But there is a lot of young talent in Carolina providing the offensive line improves and Christian McCaffrey can somehow stay healthy.
