Which Carolina Panthers could have already played their last snap with the team as a huge offseason period looms for the franchise?

There are some incredibly important decisions looming for the Carolina Panthers this offseason. Another five-win campaign after starting 3-0 resulted in pressure going through the roof on head coach Matt Rhule and team owner David Tepper, which should ensure there is extreme urgency to put things right and form a precise recruitment plan that gets the organization back in contention at the earliest possible opportunity.

Whether Rhule and his staff are capable of this is another matter. Cap space is at a premium right now, the Panthers are without a Day 2 pick in the 2022 NFL Draft currently, and there is a lot of underperforming deadwood that needs to be removed from the roster.

Not exactly the easiest proposition. But this should be Rhule’s final chance to progress Carolina during what appears to be a difficult-looking 2022 schedule.

With this in mind, here are five Panthers who have likely played their last snap for the franchise.

To be fair, Sean Chandler actually did well to earn a spot on the 53-man roster. Although working with Matt Rhule during their time together at Temple certainly helped.

Chandler did have some moments of quality. But a distinct lack of consistency in coverage and some poor tackling on occasions mean it would be a huge shock if managed to get himself another contract despite his strong links with Rhule.

The Carolina Panthers will likely strengthen this area of the field in free agency or the 2022 NFL Draft. Although welcome, this would leave Chandler on the fringes and probably looking for a new home.
