Ikem Ekwonu – OL (NC State)

No sooner had Brian Daboll been appointed as head coach of the New York Giants, he made his intentions clear about doing everything they can to get Daniel Jones trending in the right direction. That won’t happen unless the offensive line is given a substantial makeover and giving the quarterback extra time to go through his reads should make a big difference when competitive action begins once again.

Fortunately for the Giants in this scenario, only one lineman is off the board. That gives them a multitude of different options and there isn’t a hotter player right now than Ikem Ekwonu of North Carolina State after a 2021 campaign littered with memorable moments that saw his draft stock go through the roof.

One cannot be anything other than impressed by the way Ekwonu goes about his business. He is fast, explosive, and agile, giving him the ability to dominate the opposition with ease.

There aren’t any holes in Ekwonu’s game, really. He is versatile enough to play almost anywhere on the line and this is also something working in his favor ahead of the all-important draft weekend.

The Carolina Panthers could do with a player of Ekwonu’s caliber. A complete mauler on the line of scrimmage who likes nothing more than finishing off plays in a violent fashion.
