5 power RB options the Carolina Panthers should target in 2022

Carolina Panthers could target Dameon Pierce
As stated previously, the Carolina Panthers don’t have much in the way of financial resources right now. Although that will obviously change with potential cuts and restructures looming on the immediate horizon.
This could lead the organization down the draft route in the hope of alleviating some pressure off Christian McCaffrey. One such prospect gaining some significant traction during the evaluation process so far definitely fits the mold.
Dameon Pierce was used in a rotational role more often than not during his college career with the Florida Gators. But the player has an eye-catching skill set that is sure to get Carolina’s attention.
Pierce is a powerful runner that approaches every down in a violent fashion. His high running style enables him to break through tackles and this is matched by a tremendous sense of awareness to find the right seams in a patient fashion.
Another area of Pierce’s game that has come on leaps and bounds is blocking. And his pass-catching also suggests more could be on the way once he gets further coaching at the next level.
Again, there is a potential obstacle to consider where Pierce is concerned. With his stock boosting all the time he could end up being a Day 2 pick, which puts him out of the Panthers’ reach unless they can somehow get a second or third-rounder via trade.
