Dalvin Cook and Christian McCaffrey following a similar path

It isn’t all bad news as far as Christian McCaffrey is concerned and Dalvin Cook is living proof of that.

Cook has never completed a full season at the NFL level due to various injuries, mostly to the leg, but that hasn’t slowed down the young back from a production standpoint. The superstar player being selected to the last three Pro Bowls shows this.

This is even more impressive when you consider one of those injuries was a torn ACL in his rookie season. A death blow to most running backs as the New York Giants are hoping they are not learning with Saquon Barkley.

Cook has piled up three straight seasons of over 1,000 yards for the Minnesota Vikings and would have more than likely hit that mark as a rookie if not for that ACL tear ending his season at only 11 games.

On top of that knee injury, the player has injured his ankle multiple times as well as the labrum in his shoulder. But none of that has had a noticeable effect on Cook’s on-field performance.

Cook is a beast and has shown time and time again an ability to work through adversity and be one of the top-five performers at his position in the NFL. One can only hope the durability gets up to par with the rest before he suffers an injury he can’t come back from.
