If the Arizona Cardinals listen to offers for Kyler Murray, what could the Carolina Panthers potentially offer for the talented young quarterback?
Although the speculation is building surrounding Kyler Murray‘s future with the Arizona Cardinals after he scrubbed all association with the franchise from his Instagram, it would be an absolute bombshell if the team dealt the quarterback this offseason. However, if those in power start taking calls for the former No. 1 overall selection, then one suspects the Carolina Panthers might be on the phone extremely quickly.
The Panthers took a big risk by trading for Sam Darnold from the New York Jets last offseason. After an erratic 2021 campaign that saw some ongoing problems fail to get better, Carolina might be on the lookout for another potential starting option – their third in as many years since Matt Rhule was appointed head coach.
Murray would solve these complications in an instant. Although the chances of Arizona entertaining any potential trades for the Oklahoma product appear remote at this juncture.
Prolific quarterbacks seldom get shipped in their prime and certainly not when they have as much in front of them as Murray does. Even though the Cardinals failed to make any noise in the postseason, removing the exceptional dual-threat from the equation would be a monumental mistake given his production over the last three years.
If Carolina isn’t monitoring this situation closely, they should be. Although they probably won’t be alone in this regard.
With this in mind, here are three potential trades that the Panthers could offer if the Cardinals do make Murray available at some stage.
