3 bombshell trades for the Carolina Panthers to land Kyler Murray

If Kyler Murray is the subject of a potential trade given recent rumors, then the Arizona Cardinals are likely to want a king’s ransom for the quarterback. This is not an aging veteran past the peak of his powers – he is a dynamic weapon that still has room to grow.

That makes this sort of trade unfathomable in that regard. The Cardinals invested a lot in Murray and have surrounded him with every possible tool to succeed, but it didn’t amount to anything more than an early playoff exit at the hands of the Los Angeles Rams.

With a deal such as this, it all starts with draft capital. The Carolina Panthers aren’t blessed with much of that, but packaging some high-end selections over the next three years might be able to swing it for them.

Of course, strengthening the offensive line is absolutely vital in free agency if this scenario somehow comes to fruition. There is also the chance to get a couple of intriguing young prospects further down the 2022 NFL Draft, which general manager Scott Fitterer has a solid reputation for.

This might be seen as a little too steep for some people. But elite signal-callers don’t grow on trees and Murray has the credentials and was even in the NFL MVP conversation once upon a time earlier this season.

Sending draft picks rather than talent puts Carolina in the best possible position to win right now. Something that Matt Rhule definitely needs considering how much pressure is mounting on the head coach.
