Carolina Panthers trade offer No. 3

It’s hard to gauge what the asking price would be for Kyler Murray. Players of his age and elite qualities don’t become available all that often and if his speculated unhappiness evolves into something more, then a potential trade is likely to shift the entire NFL landscape once a bidding war inevitably commences.

The Carolina Panthers were reportedly willing to go all-in for Deshaun Watson and offered a significant amount for Matthew Stafford before he turned them down. Murray does not have such a trade clause, so providing he feels confident enough in the players around him, then it’s a team he could end up taking to bigger and better things moving forward.

Three first-round picks is a lot. Adding Brian Burns and Robby Anderson into the mix would at least be a strong starting point to build any potential negotiations – even if parting ways with the Florida State product would be a tough sacrifice to make.

Another area where the Arizona Cardinals need assistance is at cornerback after deciding to let Patrick Peterson walk in free agency last year. Although Donte Jackson is set to hit free agency, a sign-and-trade scenario could also reap some impressive rewards for both parties in this scenario.

This might all be a pipedream and an indication of just how desperate the Panthers are for some stability under center. Given the current state of affairs across the organization compared to others who’d be interested, the compensation involved might need to be a little more to get this eye-popping deal over the line.
