5 players from 2018 Cardinals who could re-join Steve Wilks on the Panthers

Josh Rosen – QB
This won’t go down well, one suspects. But the ties between Steve Wilks and Josh Rosen are evident and the Carolina Panthers need a quarterback.
Rosen has done absolutely nothing to suggest he can be a capable NFL starter.
Far from it, actually.
However, Wilks was part of the brain trust on the Arizona Cardinals that drafted the signal-caller at No. 10 overall and if the new arrival has a solid say in personnel moves, he might bang the table to give him a chance to shine in Carolina.
The UCLA product’s rookie campaign was a disaster and Rosen was shipped out when the Cardinals had the opportunity to select Kyler Murray first overall the following year. A brief stint with the Miami Dolphins followed and the quarterback also held a backup role with the Atlanta Falcons in 2021.
Acquiring Rosen to compete with Sam Darnold is a big risk. And the Panthers don’t have the leeway to pick up yet another reclamation project after a series of failed decisions at the most important position on the field.
This would be an absolute bombshell, to put it mildly. Rosen is already a draft bust and although he is just 25 years old, he hardly represents a guaranteed solution to what’s become an ongoing complication.
