5 potential cap casualties the Carolina Panthers could sign in 2022

Carolina Panthers should target Denzelle Good
As stated previously, the Carolina Panthers are desperate for help on their offensive line. Whether it’s via free agency or the draft, the primary decision-makers need to find players that can contribute immediately and give whoever is under center a fighting chance.
It would be wise for the Panthers to go down the draft route given how money is tight. But the organization could free up enough disposable income to acquire a prominent veteran or two during free agency or even someone that becomes a victim of early release.
Denzelle Good was seldom seen for the Las Vegas Raiders in 2021, playing in just one game before being placed on season-ending injured/reserve in September. This was a major blow to the player’s chances of cementing his status as a reliable starter and with $4.18 million in savings by an early release, it could see the former seventh-round pick out in the cold for a team that has $21.35 million in cap space.
Providing there are no further complications on the health front, Good could be a solid option for the Panthers and certainly better than anything they churned out at either guard spot during the previous campaign.
Good would give Carolina an aggressive spark and a definite upgrade in pass protection. But much would obviously depend on his prognosis following a torn ACL suffered against the Baltimore Ravens that needs to check out before making such a decision.
