Buffalo Bills could target Christian McCaffrey
If there was one area that the Buffalo Bills do struggle at times, it’s gaining valuable yards on the ground and establishing the run. Adding Christian McCaffrey would change all that in an instant and make this offense virtually unstoppable in the process.
McCaffrey is no stranger to the regime in Buffalo having worked with Sean McDermott during their time together with the Carolina Panthers. The prospect of lining up in the same backfield as quarterback Josh Allen is something else the Stanford product would no doubt love.
Although the AFC is getting more and more competitive with every passing year, Buffalo remains one of the leading contenders and if they got their hands on a high-quality performer such as McCaffrey, the possibilities of how he could be utilized are endless in this sort of scheme.
Stacking eight or nine in the box to stop McCaffrey just doesn’t seem feasible when the Bills have Stefon Diggs on the outside and Allen under center. This would be all the player needs to put up the sort of numbers capable of getting Buffalo from nearly-men into the Super Bowl.
The Bills don’t appear that far away from winning it all. Securing McCaffrey’s services would arguably make them favorites to lift the Vince Lombardi Trophy providing the player’s injury problems are behind him.
