Again, this is unlikely to go down well and something the Carolina Panthers should not truly consider. But looking at their roster, it is not blessed with many tradable asset thanks to large contracts no organization is going to take on willingly and if they want to make a run at a franchise quarterback, sacrifices have to be made.

Jeremy Chinn is an absolute stud and has a tremendous future ahead of him. The former second-round pick made a smooth transition to safety after starring as an outside linebacker during his rookie campaign, going over 100 tackles once again and providing a dynamic spark thanks to exceptional athleticism.

This is something that might interest the New York Jets, who could be set to lose Marcus Maye in free agency and would no doubt relish the chance to slot Chinn on the backend to improve their fortunes. Although it could potentially be a substantial loss to the Panthers, if it helps them land a franchise-altering quarterback, then his name will probably come up.

Perhaps the best route Carolina can go down is finding a quarterback via the draft and build around the few proven players they already have. However, David Tepper is clearly getting impatient with how things are unfolding and with head coach Matt Rhule on the hot seat, it could lead to yet another rash move at the most important position on the field.
