What potential trade packages could the Carolina Panthers look for to send wide receiver Robby Anderson back to the New York Jets?

The early signs were promising between Robby Anderson and the Carolina Panthers. Reuniting with his former college coach Matt Rhule brought about the finest season of his career statistically in 2020, going over 1,000 receiving yards for the first time and becoming a player that could make a difference all over the field.

This was enough for the Panthers to hand Anderson a two-year extension. Something that the player deserved at the time.

However, things did not go according to plan last season. Anderson struggled with individual mistakes and couldn’t get on the same page with anybody under center, resulting in a frustrated figure throughout the campaign that sometimes boiled over.

According to a recent report from DJ Bien-Aime of the New York Daily News, Anderson is interested in making a return to the New York Jets, where he played previously before moving to Carolina.

Whether the feeling is mutual hasn’t been declared one way or another. But Daniel Jeremiah of the NFL Network recently claimed that Gang Green was willing to become middlemen for any team looking to land a franchise quarterback providing they get some decent players in return.

Trading Anderson would cost the Panthers around $7.67 million in dead-cap money and represent a saving of $9.16 million. So it’s not entirely out of the question if a suitable offer that benefits both parties can be agreed upon.

With this in mind, here are three potential trade offers that the Panthers could consider from the Jets if they want to bring Anderson back.
