3 quarterbacks the Panthers could target in later rounds of the NFL draft
Which potential quarterbacks should the Carolina Panthers target in the later parts of the draft to try and avoid a messy situation in 2022 and beyond?
The Carolina Panthers have a problem at the most important position in sports. That is never a recipe for success.
Sam Darnold and Teddy Bridgewater were failed experiments garnered through free agency and trade, so perhaps it is time for the Panthers to look elsewhere in pursuit of finding a potential solution to their quarterback dilemma.
There is always the conventional route of selecting a quarterback in the first round of the draft, anointing them as the starter, and letting the dice roll on your Day 1 starter, hoping you hit on the lottery that is this year’s class of signal-callers entering the NFL.
However, there is another route that others have taken into the role of starting quarterback.
Drafting a young prospect with certain tangibles in the later rounds and molding them through the years into your ideal starter is a possibility. Carolina hoping to hit gold on someone that fell through the cracks is something else to consider depending on how the board plays out.
There are certainly lots of quarterbacks that fit into this category. Although it appears as if the Panthers are going to explore every avenue in the trade market before settling for an incoming college player.
Without further ado, here are three quarterbacks the Panthers could select in the later rounds of the 2022 NFL Draft.
