3 quarterbacks the Panthers could target in later rounds of the NFL draft
Carolina Panthers could draft Anthony Brown
Anthony Brown is not a name you will hear a lot going into the draft process, and with good reason.
He does not have the biggest arm in the world or the best level of production in college. Brown does however have enough potential to try and dig out of him and his throwing ability is good enough to succeed in the NFL.
Brown’s ceiling could potentially see him become a starter one day. And his experience during his time at Oregon could allow the prospect to develop even faster once he gets to the pros.
His numbers at the NFL Scouting Combine will be semi-important in deciding where he will go. But this is a player that the Carolina Panthers should have half an eye on during the evaluation process.
Brown failed to live up to the hype following his high-profile transfer from Boston College. But perhaps someone like Ben McAdoo can bring that out from the floor and mold him into a starting-caliber quarterback.
The prospect is definitely someone that can live up to the late-round quarterback who can learn to develop his physical abilities into stardom within the NFL. Look for Brown to be taken somewhere on Day 3 as a development project with high upside.
