Carolina Panthers must consider Tyrann Mathieu

Even though it would probably break the bank, Tyrann Mathieu could also be a great addition for the Carolina Panthers. The Kansas City Chiefs always find a way to keep their best players, but something has to give somewhere down the line and this offseason might be the time one or two prominent veterans leave for pastures new.

If Mathieu hits free agency, he will be the top safety in the market.

At 29 years old, Mathieu is still playing at an elite level. A veteran presence that would be great for the Panthers locker room.

He also plays multiple positions in the secondary. At 5-foot-9, Mathieu even has plenty of experience in the box as well.

Although unlikely, this has the potential to be a game-changing asset for the Panthers and someone that they should contact, at the very least.

If Mathieu hits free agency, the Panthers should be the first team to give him a call. He will most likely be the most expensive safety in the market, which is a major complication to this potential deal.
