Carolina Panthers could sign Bryce Callahan

If the Carolina Panthers don’t want to make a huge splash but still want a pretty solid cornerback, Bryce Callahan could be a sneaky addition. The reason he might have an affordable price tag for the organization is because of the player’s struggles to stay healthy.

When healthy, the 30-year-old Callahan has been pretty solid during his time in the NFL that got off to a late start.

It took a while for Callahan to find his way in the NFL as an undrafted free agent and he has experience playing alongside A.J. Bouye, attaining two interceptions in three-straight seasons before last year.

The problem is that Callahan has never played in more than 13 games in a season and only reached that mark once in five years.

Carolina already had a cornerback in Donte Jackson who struggled to stay healthy. So for them to sign another guy like that might be a bit of reach.

However, Jackson’s price tag will likely be much more than Callahan’s and the Panthers could get more bang for their buck in adding the former Denver Broncos star.
