Carolina Panthers should watch Coby Bryant

Although the cornerback unit looks pretty solid for the Carolina Panthers, that could change if they end up losing Stephon Gilmore or Donte Jackson in free agency. Veteran A.J. Bouye could also be released as a cost-cutting measure, so they might need another talented body depending on what transpires in the coming weeks.

While Ahmad ‘Sauce’ Gardner is getting the headlines thanks to his exceptional shutdown presence for Cincinnati during their run to the college football playoffs, another member of the Bearcats’ cornerback room could do his chances no harm at all at the 2022 NFL Scouting Combine.

Coby Bryant is a typical feast or famine cornerback that has eye-popping athleticism and coverage skills. However, his tendency to gamble and be over aggressive is something that could cause some significant problems at the next level if not addressed.

Bryan thrives against the run thanks to his physical style of play and ability to wrap up tackles quickly and with impact. His frame and movement are both NFL-ready, and the prospect also sees the field extremely well to further enhance his credentials.

The corner does not possess elite speed and he relies on instinct to get him through at times. This makes him a target for double moves and something Bryant needs to work on in the pros to have a successful career.
