Carolina Panthers 7-round 2022 NFL mock draft: Pre-Combine edition
By Dean Jones
Carolina Panthers select Dylan Parham
Did we mention the Carolina Panthers are in dire need of a spark on their protection?
Obviously, this might change after free agency where the Panthers could pick up one or two veterans with proven production. Although gambling on underperforming veterans such as Pat Elflein and Cam Erving is no longer an option.
Providing they find the right fits, then it could see their attitude alter during the draft. But as of right now, this remains their top priority until otherwise stated.
One prospect who is building some significant momentum throughout the evaluation process is Dylan Parham. The Kentucky lineman is versatile enough to play anywhere across the interior and is a supreme pass protector thanks to nifty footwork and sneaky athleticism for a man his size.
Parham came out of the Senior Bowl with an enormous amount of credit. His work rate is first-class and the player also evolved into a leadership role extremely well during his final season with the Tigers.
Improving consistency against power rushers and being a little more aggressive to the point of attack will only help Parham’s cause at the next level. If these can be coached by whatever team acquires the lineman, someone is going to have a player of immense promise on their hands.
