What are some potential dream free-agent acquisitions for the Carolina Panthers ahead of a crucial season for Matt Rhule in 2022?

We are now at the business end of preparations ahead of 2022 free agency. The Carolina Panthers need to hit some home runs in the coming weeks despite their challenging financial situation, which would undoubtedly help the team’s chances of impressing on the field next season.

Whether the Panthers are deemed as an attractive destination for free agents with other alternatives remains to be seen. But after three consecutive five-win seasons – two of which came under the current regime led by Matt Rhule – it might take some creativity from Scott Fitterer and the front office to put Carolina in the best position to thrive.

Carolina Panthers need to get creative this offseason

This part of the year should be about hope. About expectation regarding who could come in and what the Panthers could potentially accomplish next season amid all the chaos.

With this in mind, here are five dream free-agent targets that Carolina could take an ambitious swing at this offseason.
