5 dream free-agent targets for the Carolina Panthers in 2022

Bradley Bozeman – C
Matt Paradis’ time with the Carolina Panthers should come to end in free agency. The center tore his ACL in Week 9 against the New England Patriots and it makes no sense to extend him, even though he’ll still be paid handsomely to the tune of $8.29 million next season and a further $4.41 million in 2023 as part of a contract restructure.
The improvement of Pat Elflein when he reverted back to his college position should be noted. But if the Panthers have the chance to get an upgrade in this area of the field, they would be foolish not to consider it.
Obviously, someone like Tyler Linderbaum could enter the equation if Carolina trades down from No. 6 overall. There are also some high-quality free agents that could be available that shouldn’t go overlooked by the primary decision-makers.
Someone like Bradley Bozeman fits the bill. The center was a commanding force for the Baltimore Ravens and could be exactly what the Panthers are looking for in pursuit of stability on the interior.
Bozeman turned out in 1,125 snaps on offense for the Ravens last season, giving up three sacks and conceding one penalty to secure an impressive 73.3 grade from Pro Football Focus. Money might be a factor, but this makes a ton of sense for the Panthers and one that could solidify a real problem group.
