4 star players the Panthers could acquire for Christian McCaffrey

Which star players could the Carolina Panthers potentially get their hands on as part of a trade involving running back Christian McCaffrey?

It seems it is only a matter of time until the Carolina Panthers and Christian McCaffrey part ways. As difficult as the move might be, it could be the right one for a team that has been stuck in neutral for two seasons.

When McCaffrey is healthy the Panthers are capable of contending with almost any team in the league. A fact made all the more impressive when you consider that it was with Sam Darnold, Teddy Bridgewater, or an aging Cam Newton that this narrative played out.

McCaffrey has that big of an influence from a position that rarely impacts the game at the level the All-Pro has managed to accomplish. However, that hasn’t been there for the Panthers too often lately.

The former first-round pick has been unable to stay on the field for the past two years and now might be the time for Carolina to move on.

Whether it is a first-round pick or an immediate impact player, the Panthers will have their choice if they decide to move McCaffrey and have reportedly taken numerous calls already.

Draft compensation and another piece could likely be had in the same deal. However, if Carolina truly wants a star player it is unlikely they can acquire additional picks as well.
