Carolina Panthers must consider Justin Britt
As stated previously, the Carolina Panthers could have as many as four new starters across the offensive line in 2022. This will obviously depend on Brady Christensen’s development and where the coaching staff sees him fitting long-term, but the organization also has a potential dilemma at the center spot to further complicate matters.
Matt Paradis is injured and out of contract, so the chances of him being extended are slim. That leaves Carolina with just Pat Elflein as a potential option, who was inconsistent overall despite showing some improvements at the spot where he starred in college at Ohio State.
There are some potential draft targets led by Tyler Linderbaum that warrant consideration. However, the Panthers could target a veteran on the cheap and give their immediate ambitions a huge shot in the arm.
The Houston Texans didn’t have much to shout about last season, but Justin Britt was one of the few that emerged from the campaign with any credit thanks to a series of very encouraging performances. He is also closely linked to general manager Scott Fitterer, who was part of the decision-making process when the Seattle Seahawks took the Missouri product at No. 64 overall in 2014.
Britt has turned out just 19 times over the last two seasons due to injuries. So the Panthers would need to be convinced no further complications were on the horizon.
