With Haason Reddick most likely heading into free agency as a hot commodity, could the Carolina Panthers search the market for his replacement?

Haason Reddick has been consistent the past two seasons. He’s accumulated 23.5 sacks and still hasn’t received a long-term deal, which doesn’t appear to be coming from the Carolina Panthers based on general manager Scott Fitterer’s comments at the 2022 NFL Scouting Combine.

Fitterer stated that the organization is going to let Reddick test the market, which could be a major error in judgment based on the player’s influence after arriving on the team last year.

The Panthers signed the Temple alumni back in March 2021 to a one-year deal worth up to $6 million. It was a steal in the making for Carolina and he produced from beginning to end during what could be his first and only season with the franchise.

Reddick racked up 11 total sacks leading the entire defense. He formed a prolific partnership with Brian Burns and this couldn’t be a better year for the former first-round pick to get paid

Whether that’s with the Panthers or another landing spot in free agency is the big question. Something we won’t have to wait much longer to find out.

It will not be easy to replace Reddick’s play, but there are some good options in free agency. With this in mind here are my four veterans that might come under consideration if both parts go their separate ways.
