3 exciting traits Rashard Higgins brings to the Carolina Panthers

What exciting traits could Rashard Higgins bring to the Carolina Panthers after the wide receiver became their latest free-agent signing?
Building up the wide receiver room has been done nice and early by the Carolina Panthers this offseason. The team extended Brandon Zylstra to a deserved one-year deal and also brought in an exciting new option in the form of Rashard Higgins from the Cleveland Browns., which was their fourth signing of the free agency period.
Although Higgins was a minimal contributor for the Browns in 2021, it’s worth remembering how much Baker Mayfield struggled under center and that Kevin Stefanski deploys a run-first attack led by the exceptional duo of Kareem Hunt and Nick Chubb. This signing provides additional competition at the skill position for the Panthers, who struggled to find consistency from their wideouts last time around outside of D.J. Moore.
This move lays down the gauntlet to some on the team who didn’t pull their weight effectively. Robby Anderson regressed after getting a new contract, with the rookie tandem of Terrace Marshall Jr. and Shi Smith all-but anonymous during their opening campaigns at the next level.
Higgins might only have a career-high of 599 receiving yards, but there is a lot to like about his potential as a rotational receiver that could become something more. However, this all depends on just what the Panthers end up doing at quarterback with the franchise doing all it can to find themselves an upgrade on Sam Darnold.
Without further ado, here are three exciting traits that Higgins should bring to Carolina in 2022.
