Could the Carolina Panthers potentially make a push for the NFC South title in 2022 following a strong period of recruitment so far?

It’s been a weird and wonderful start to the free agency period for the Carolina Panthers. Something that’s come as no surprise to those that have followed the team through thick and thin over the years.

They might not have Deshaun Watson after the controversial quarterback made an astonishing U-turn to sign for the Cleveland Browns, but the roster arguably looks a lot more balanced than at any point during Matt Rhule’s tenure so far. The Panthers still have work to do at key positional groups such as quarterback and left tackle, so how they approach the two spots will have some big-time ramifications on their hopes in 2022.

Tom Brady might be back with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers after the briefest of retirements. However, there could be an added belief that Carolina can give them a good run for their money providing everything goes according to plan during the remainder of the offseason.

That is a big if, of course. And as we all know with the Panthers, things can turn from promising to demoralizing in the blink of an eye.

However, something feels different this offseason. That might not end up being the case, but it sure does feel like it right now.

With this in mind, here are four reasons why the Panthers can make a surprising push for the NFC South divisional title in 2022.
