5 best moves of Carolina Panthers 2022 free agency so far
By Dean Jones
What are some of the best moves the Carolina Panthers have made during an extremely eventful 2022 free agency period so far?
After a relatively quiet start to the free agency period, things turned up a notch for the Carolina Panthers on Friday. Something that completely shifted the mood within the team’s fanbase at just the right time.
The Panthers have to hit some real home runs this offseason in the hope they can somehow turn things around on the field. Another failed campaign would likely spell the end for head coach Matt Rhule, but Carolina’s front office has brought some interesting acquisitions to the organization so far and there is the promise of even more to come before OTAs roll around in the coming weeks.
A more methodical approach to recruitment is evident. Whether this is down to Rhule no longer getting the final say on personnel moves or not is up for debate, but the switch is welcome no matter how it comes about.
With Tom Brady coming out of retirement for one last tilt of glory with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, the Panthers know there is no margin for error. Although the urgency is there for all to see, fans can be encouraged by what they’ve seen from the organization in recent weeks, even if some prominent veterans have either been released or left for pastures new.
That is all part of the NFL business, unfortunately. With this in mind, here are the five best moves made by the Panthers during the 2022 free agency period so far.
