What are some big observations the Carolina Panthers can take from a dazzling pro day outing from quarterback Malik Willis?

It’s a busy week for the Carolina Panthers as they continue to form a concise plan regarding just what they are going to do at No. 6 overall in the 2022 NFL Draft. After taking in Kenny Pickett’s pro day on Monday, the next stop for influential figures within the organization was a trip to witness Malik Willis in action, who is one of the more intriguing prospects at the position entering the league this year.

Willis is seen by many analysts as the signal-caller with the highest ceiling from a class that’s had some unfair criticism. Coming from a small program doesn’t seem to be hurting his draft stock, which could see the Panthers or someone else take him with their first-round selection after an exceptional evaluation process so far.

Much like the situation with Pickett, this would be a significant gamble by the Panthers. But with veteran options dwindling, there might not be a better time to go down the college route and hope they strike it lucky.

With this in mind, here are four big observations the Panthers can take from Willis’ outstanding pro-day session.
