Cam Newton embodies everything good about the Carolina Panthers

Cam Newton’s swagger and confidence bring the feeling that no matter what odds there are or what competition they face, the Carolina Panthers have a chance to win every game.

That is what he brings to the Panthers. The feeling that no game is ever out of reach, that no team will ever out-match the Panthers.

Even if this is not as true as it once was during Newton’s first stint, the players, coaches, and fans will still feel this way because of his attitude. This is very rare and something that often goes overlooked by people outside of the organization.

No offense to them, but ask yourself. Would Teddy Bridgwater, Sam Darnold, Jimmy Garappolo, or even Baker Mayfield bring this kind of swagger and spread it to the entire team every game?

They likely would not.

That is the Newton effect. The feeling throughout the team was entirely different when he came in at the Arizona Cardinals. And who could forget just how electric Bank of America was when the quarterback was introduced as the team’s starter against Washington.

Carolina still faltered down the stretch. But the team came in with a different energy than they had in the first half of the 2021 season.

Allowing Newton to have a complete offseason with the team would multiply this energy. Across not only the players, but the coaches, organization, and most importantly, the fans as well.
