Which Carolina Panthers players could be next up for lucrative contract extensions after wide receiver D.J. Moore got a well-deserved payday?

One of the overlooked elements to the offseason so far where the Carolina Panthers are concerned was the extension given to D.J. Moore. The wide receiver got himself a bumper payday that looks pretty respectable for all parties when one considers how much Davanta Adams and Tyreek Hill recently got paid following their respective trades to the Las Vegas Raiders and Miami Dolphins.

The Panthers might also use their extra cap space right now to tie up other members of the roster. Although the need for a franchise left tackle and an upgrade at the quarterback spot should take preference given the need for progress as head coach Matt Rhule enters his third campaign at the helm.

Moore is extremely deserving of such a financial commitment. He has gone over 1,000 receiving yards for three straight years despite so much uncertainty under center, so there could be additional production on the way if the Panthers can solve their ever-concerning riddle at the most important position on the field.

With this in mind, here are four Panthers players who could be next in line for big-money deals providing their development continues encouragingly in 2022.

Bradley Bozeman – Carolina Panthers C/G

The Carolina Panthers got themselves a real bargain with Bradley Bozeman, who was picked up on a team-friendly deal in free agency after a successful stint with the Baltimore Ravens. The versatile offensive lineman should be an immediate upgrade wherever the coaching staff lines him up on the protection, which won’t be difficult after a torrid campaign in all phases.

Bozeman has bet on himself to a certain extent this offseason. If the former sixth-round pick thrives in a new environment, then a bigger deal should be in the offing with the salary-cap set to soar once again next year.

Carolina would be more than willing to pay if Bozeman reaches or exceeds expectations. Something he appears more than capable of with a smooth transition.
