Teddy Bridgewater – Former Carolina Panthers QB

This might not seem like anything right now. But there is a high chance that Teddy Bridgewater could be in for a renaissance in 2022.

Bridgewater manned the plate under center for the Denver Broncos last season after he was cast aside by the Carolina Panthers in favor of Sam Darnold. It was an indifferent time for the former first-round pick once again, which resulted in the organization making a big splash in the trade market by acquiring Russell Wilson from the Seattle Seahawks.

This left Bridgewater out in the cold, but accepting a one-year, $6.5 million deal with the Miami Dolphins might be the best thing that’s ever happened to him.

The Dolphins generated some significant headlines this week by signing stud left tackle Terron Armstead and trading for wide receiver Tyreek Hill from the Kansas City Chiefs. This means there are no more excuses for Tua Tagovailoa, so if the signal-caller underperforms or gets hurt again, then Bridgewater will emerge from the shadows and into the limelight.

Bridgewater got a bad rap for the way things transpired in Carolina. But he has a proven track record of winning when the weapons are around him, which Miami certainly has with Hill, Jaylen Waddle, and Mike Gesicki.

If the Dolphins want to fulfill some lofty ambitions after an exceptional offseason, then Bridgewater might be tasked with more than just an understudy role given Tagoivailoa’s track record on the health front.
