Skyy Moore has skyrocketed up draft boards over the past few months, but is the gifted wide receiver a realistic option for the Carolina Panthers?

The Carolina Panthers’ receiving core has a good mix of talented guys, led by newly extended star D.J Moore. This group also includes Robby Anderson, former second-round pick Terrace Marshall Jr., the reliable Brandon Zylstra, and new addition Rashard Higgins.

Even with these five guys on the roster, Carolina could add one of the most intriguing prospects in the draft to their wide receiver room. That player is Skyy Moore.

Moore is a curious prospect, and he has rightfully seen his draft stock continuously climb since the beginning of the 2021 college football season. His 2021 production of 95 receptions, 1,292 receiving yards, and 10 touchdowns speaks for itself.

He has shown flashes of his elite talent against the MAC competition. But that is the question everyone has, will he be able to produce these numbers against better teams and players?

The MAC has produced some good receivers over the past decade. Antonio Brown, Julian Edelman, Corey Davis, Scotty Miller, Willie Sneed, Dionte Johnson, Greg Jennings, and Kenny Golladay just to name a few.

The receivers from the MAC have been good and the competition Moore played in college will not hold him back from being NFL ready. The Pennsylvania native is projected by analysts to go between picks 25-45, so the Panthers would have to trade down from No. 6 overall and acquire other selections without it being a massive reach.

Our scouting report of Moore paints a clearer picture of his strengths, weaknesses, and how good he could be in the NFL.
