Carolina Panthers could draft Kingsley Enagbare

  • Defensive End | South Carolina

The Carolina Panthers could use another pass-rushing option after Haason Reddick bolted in free agency for the Philadelphia Eagles. Replacing 11 sacks opposite Brian Burns will be hard to do, but there could be a huge breakout campaign in the offing for Yetur Gross-Matos and Marquis Haynes might also have more in his locker after getting a well-deserved extension.

With that being said, the Panthers could identify an explosive prospect from the college ranks to further assist their cause. There is even a slight chance they could utilize the No. 6 overall selection on this potential complication if someone like Travon Walker falls into their laps.

Another candidate to be selected further down the board is Kingsley Enagbare, who is no stranger to the area having played his college football at South Carolina. His high-end motor and pass-rushing techniques could make him a hot commodity on draft night, but there are also some who claim he could fall due to being undersized and showing complications against the run.

Enagbare has far more good than bad regarding his game. But it appears as if the Panthers would need a second or third-round pick to go in this particular direction should they wish.

This would be a feast or famine move. However, the presence of Burns, Gross-Matos, and Haynes makes this a solid landing spot for Enagbare, who could develop at his own pace and potentially play a role as a key cog in the defensive line rotation.
