What could happen during the 2022 NFL Draft before the Carolina Panthers officially go on the clock at No. 6 overall?

The Carolina Panthers are currently preparing for almost every situation ahead of the 2022 NFL Draft. There should be multiple options available to the franchise at No. 6 overall, but they are at the mercy of teams above them and won’t know for sure until the top five has gone in various directions with their respective picks.

This is one of the more intriguing drafts in recent memory. A less than stellar quarterback class coupled with teams above the Panthers having more than one significant need make things difficult to predict, which is fun for the fans but a complication for the primary decision-makers within the franchise.

With visits taking place across the country, teams are sending out slight hints about what prospects they’re interested in without ever fully showing their hands. There is no Trevor Lawrence guaranteed to go No. 1 overall this year, so there is sure to be drama aplenty when the pivotal selection process gets underway.

Carolina did a nice job of strengthening its roster without breaking the bank in free agency. If they can address two or three remaining holes before OTAs and training camp, there is an opportunity to make a surprising run to a divisional title challenge if everything goes well.

Without further ado, we took a look at what could transpire in the top five before the Panthers pick at No. 6 and what options might be available to them.
