The Carolina Panthers have a lot riding on the 2022 season. Three consecutive five-win campaigns and two under new head coach Matt Rhule indicate little to no progress is being made – something team owner David Tepper didn’t envisage when he handed the former Baylor man a bumper seven-year, $62 million deal to prise him from the college ranks.
Tepper ended up ignoring widespread calls for a change in direction this offseason. Although the Panthers did gut their coaching staff below Rhule and replace them with individuals who come with a large amount of NFL experience.
