Which positions will the Carolina Panthers solidify during each round they are selecting in the 2022 NFL Draft?
After one of the more eventful offseasons for the Carolina Panthers, things remain on a proverbial knife-edge regarding their chances of making more noise in 2022. Some quality acquisitions joined the ranks in free agency, key veterans departed, and the team also tried to swing for the fences with a bold trade move or two to keep fans extremely interested in proceedings since the previous campaign came to a conclusion.
Matt Rhule knows there is little chance of him surviving in the role if the Panthers cannot attain more than five wins again. The head coach continues to have the support of David Tepper, but the time has now arrived for the former Baylor man to start repaying his boss’ faith next time around.
Some problem positions – namely quarterback and left tackle – have to be rectified in a positive fashion. Ideally, this should be done before training camp and Carolina certainly has multiple options available to further improve their ranks during the 2022 NFL Draft.
The Panthers might not be rich in the way of top-end capital. But general manager Scott Fitterer is a premier negotiator, reacting to how the board is evolving superbly throughout his first draft with the franchise.
