By Dean Jones
What are the best options available to the Carolina Panthers from No. 6 overall in the 2022 NFL Draft?
Plans are now being finalized across the league ahead of the 2022 NFL Draft. This is an important one for the Carolina Panthers and arguably among the most unpredictable in recent memory.
With nobody having a guarantee about what any organization in the top five is going to do thanks to a lack of elite quarterback prospects, it’s simply a waiting game for the Panthers. One that could come with some significant ramifications regarding their chances next season.
There are some clear problem positions that must be addressed. But considering how some prospects are being perceived, absolutely nothing has or will be ruled out until the time comes.
Without further ado, we took a deeper dive and ranked the nine best possibilities for the Panthers at No. 6 overall. Whether they’ll go down these routes is another matter entirely.
Option No. 9
Carolina Panthers could draft Kyle Hamilton
- Safety | Notre Dame
There is a chance that Kyle Hamilton falls in the 2022 NFL Draft due to positional importance. But make no mistake, this is arguably the best player entering the league this year.
Labeling Hamilton as a difference-maker on the backend would be understating his overall influence. He is a commanding force at the second level in addition to his responsibilities in the secondary, possessing the athleticism, football IQ, and natural instincts to make things happen at the drop of a hat.
The Carolina Panthers have other needs and they did sign Xavier Woods to partner Jeremy Chinn, but the benefits of bringing Hamilton on board are evident – however unlikely it might be.
