Which former Carolina Panthers players should get signed pretty quickly after the upcoming 2022 NFL Draft comes to a conclusion?

This part of the NFL offseason is all about exciting new faces entering the league from college. With the draft now just a few short days away, fans are eagerly anticipating which talented prospects will arrive at their respective organizations to help them progress, reach the playoffs, or even make a potential Super Bowl run in 2022.

For the Carolina Panthers, small steps forward are absolutely essential. Little to no improvements were made in Year 2 of Matt Rhule’s reign and although he got another year from team owner David Tepper, patience must be wearing thin.

There are also a number of key veteran free agents waiting to see what transpires during the draft. This will play a significant role in what fits end up being best for them to resume their careers providing the right opportunity comes along.

With this in mind, here are five Panthers players who could be signed quickly once the 2022 NFL Draft comes to a conclusion.

Mario Addison – Former Carolina Panthers DL

There has been some interest in Mario Addison throughout free agency despite the defensive lineman advancing in age. He’s been in for a couple of visits with other teams after the Buffalo Bills decided not to extend him and even though this hasn’t come with anything concrete as yet, things might pick up once the draft comes to an end.

Addison was a top performer during his eight years on the Carolina Panthers, racking up 55 sacks and 97 quarterback hits. The former Troy standout was still playing well enough at 34 years old to gain seven sacks on a rotational basis in 2021, so he could be of use for a contending organization looking for pass-rushing help.
