Josh Norman – Former Carolina Panthers CB

Josh Norman’s best days are long gone. That’s all part of growing old in playing terms and in a cornerback’s case, they do tend to fall off a cliff quicker than most with electrifying wide receivers entering the league every year willing to expose their flaws.

With that being said, Norman did a nice job for the San Francisco 49ers on a rotational basis, gaining one interception, 49 tackles, five passes defended, and an exceptional seven forced fumbles as a result of his efforts.

Sure, Norman got burned on occasions.

His explosiveness and fluidity have regressed in recent years, after all.

However, a contending team needing a strong veteran presence within their cornerback room could make a call in Norman’s direction if the right reinforcements don’t get secured or become available during the 2022 NFL Draft.

Norman’s legendary 2015 season with the Carolina Panthers was a long time ago now. And there is no denying he’s lost a step or two from the All-Pro campaign that also earned him a megabucks deal from Washington the following spring.

There is a chance no interest comes Norman’s way until a training camp injury of one during the season. But the prospect of him being signed elsewhere soon after the draft cannot be ruled out.
