Panthers Draft 2022: OT secured in full 32-team first round mock draft

Kansas City Chiefs select Christian Watson
- Wide Receiver | North Dakota State
Trading Tyreek Hill to the Miami Dolphins was a big call by the Kansas City Chiefs. In Christian Watson, the team drafts an athletic freak that could make a huge splash with quarterback Patrick Mahomes and ensure little momentum is lost.
Watson has the size and speed to cause absolute nightmares for opposing cornerbacks. The increase in competition standards will be high, but there is much to like about his potential.
Kansas City Chiefs select Devin Lloyd
- Linebacker | Utah
Although the Chiefs signed former Carolina Panthers linebacker Jermaine Carter in free agency, relying on the Maryland product is risky business based on his production in 2021. Devin Lloyd represents an instant upgrade and could well be the best middle linebacker in this class when it’s all said and done.
Lloyd is physical, plays with a nasty streak, and has the natural instants to impact all phases of play. Even if Carter does start, this is a nice fall-back option before the Utah product takes over the job.
Cincinnati Bengals select Tyler Linderbaum
- Center | Iowa
Strengthening the offensive line has been priority No. 1 for the Cincinnati Bengals this offseason. Something that continues with the selection of center Tyler Linderbaum.
The Iowa product is regarded as the best center prospect to enter the league in some time. Positional importance might dictate a fall into the late first round, but there will be nobody happier than quarterback Joe Burrow in this scenario.
Detroit Lions select Matt Corral
- Quarterback | Ole Miss
Jared Goff might be the starting quarterback for the Detroit Lions in the short term, but if someone like Matt Corral was on the board by No. 32 overall, it might see the organization take their potential long-term option.
Corrall has SEC experience, a lightning release, good accuracy, and sound mobility. There are some question marks about his height and durability, but Detroit can let him sit and learn behind Goff next season before potentially handing him the keys to the kingdom.
