Carolina Panthers must expect the unexpected

This has the potential to be one of the most volatile drafts in years, especially when it comes to the first round. With so many questions over the quarterback class, teams are rightfully wary of taking the plunge and risk wasting a pick when the 2023 group comes with much more expectancy and hype at the present moment.

That could all change during the upcoming college campaign, obviously. But the Carolina Panthers cannot sit and wait around on the off-chance one player is going to become an elite performer under center ahead of time.

Simply put, the Panthers should expect the unexpected.

Absolutely nothing is off the table for anybody – including in the top-10. Something that’s even seen some teams trade away their primary asset in favor of sure things during an unprecedented period of activity this offseason.

Reacting quickly is something Scott Fitterer managed to do well in 2021. Matt Rhule will also have a huge say in the matter, but multiple plans should already be in place so nothing becomes a surprise on the night.
