With a few needs still on the roster, and with the cap room the Carolina Panthers have, which free agents could the organization consider post-draft?

The Carolina Panthers had arguably the best draft in terms of value out of all the teams in the league. Adding Ikem Ekwonu and Matt Corral with their first two picks filled the left tackle position and added a promising quarterback to the team.

Even with these two players alongside the other selections from the draft, the Panthers still have holes on their roster – primarily at safety, linebacker, and defensive end – that need filling before training camp begins.

Despite drafting Corral, the Panthers should probably sign a veteran quarterback to back up or potentially start some games if the rookie is not quite ready and Sam Darnold fails to show the necessary improvements in the coming weeks.

Many fans are of the belief that Darnold should not see the field at all this season if possible. A scenario that will probably happen if Carolina does not sign a veteran signal-caller.

The Panthers have around $30 million to spend on further options if general manager Scott Fitterer so desires. Here are four veteran free agents Carolina might consider now that the draft has concluded.
