Although the Carolina Panthers traded up to select quarterback Matt Corral following an alarming slide to No. 94 overall, this won’t stop them from taking another long look at an exceptional group of quarterback prospects set to enter the league in 2023.

Much will depend on Corral and how he adjusts. But with Sam Darnold out of contract next season, this is a realistic option and one they will undoubtedly consider if they are picking in the top-10 once again.

The Draft Network’s 2023 mock draft has the Panthers selecting Tyler Van Dyke, who is a phenomenal prospect out of Miami that has every intangible needed to become a next-level star in no time at all.

"“If the Panthers are picking this high in the order then obviously Sam Darnold isn’t the answer at quarterback—and neither is Matt Corral. Tyler Van Dyke was a revelation for the Hurricanes in 2021 and has the makings of an early selection at quarterback.”"

Van Dyke looked the part during his first campaign under center for the Hurricanes in 2021, completing 62.3 percent of his passes for 2,931 yards, 25 touchdowns, six interceptions, and a passer efficiency rating of 160.1.

Hopes are immensely high for Van Dyke next season. If he reaches or exceeds expectations, then a productive NFL career won’t be too far behind.
