Even though the Carolina Panthers have a nice amount of young talent on their defensive line, they could do with a leader and role model to help this group take the next steps in their respective careers in 2022.

Jadeveon Clowney has seen and done it all from the college level to the pros. This know-how and proven experience can be a significant asset for Carolina both on the field and within the locker room.

Imagine how much players like Brian Burns, Yetur Gross-Matos, Phil Hoskins, Derrick Brown, Daviyon Nixon, and Amare Barno could get from Clowney, who has played everyone across the defensive front throughout his career and achieved a considerable amount along the way.

Clowney’s association with the area is another massive factor that cannot be overlooked. This would be a hugely popular move from a fan perspective and something that would no doubt smooth the player’s transition to a more familiar environment.

Leadership and accountability were areas that needed improvement this offseason. There is a more balanced look to the roster and the characters within it, but adding Clowney would be the icing on the cake.

Only time will tell as to whether or not this move comes off. But it is a situation worth monitoring, at the very least.
